OpenAI published a writeup and Lean formalization for a claimed finite-time singularity result in the Navier–Stokes equations with smooth external forcing. It says a group of about 10,000 agents used an internal model, with Astra handling later formalization. This review covers the announcement; TapToMarket has not checked the mathematical proof or independently reproduced its verification.
Why it matters
Read the precise theorem and verification artifacts before treating a research announcement as an accepted result. Agent count alone does not establish proof quality or the performance of a commercially available tool.
